NSW Masters Athletics Indoor Throws Championships Results
NSWMA held their first Indoor Throws State Championship event which was held on the 1st November at Il Cadore Equestrian Centre at Somersby. We had around 30 athletes competed in Shot Put, Weight Throw and Super Weight events which was a great success.

The successful event was due to the amazing organisation and work done all day by our Field Rep Gabi Watts and her husband Dave. Huge thanks also to the wonderful people who helped out with EDM, measuring, retrieving, raking, etc, between their throws Gavin Murray, Maria Cimino, Anne Weekes, Adriana Van Bockel Pesch, Mary Thomas, Morgan Clifford, Vicki Townsend, Samantha Lantanis and Georgie Lantanis, Sharon Gibbons and Jayne Hardy and anyone else who we have missed.
The success of our events always comes down to the fabulous people we have who pitch in and help, and we are so grateful for you all.

We had entrants travel from Rockhampton QLD - thankfully the border opened in time, Nowra and Canberra to be involved in this inaugural Championships. Results can be found in the following attachment.

Good News – the Championships are going ahead in 2021
The decision was taken at a meeting of the Local Organising Committee and representatives of the AMA and the ACT Masters Athletics Club on 9 December 2020.

Competitors are advised that the LOC has addressed a number of COVID-related scenarios in reaching its decision to proceed with the 2021 AMA Championships in Canberra from 5-8 March. Contingencies have been considered around a number of risks including: the venue limits at the AIS Track, restriction of spectator numbers, program changes, a deterioration in the COVID situation at the national and/or state level early in 2021, cancellation of the event and the use of alternative venues.
This site will be updated regularly to keep competitors advised of any changes that will impact on the conduct of the championships.

Entry to the event requires membership of a State Association. To become a member of NSW Master click here

State uniform is mandatory for the event. To buy a NSW Masters uniform click here
