50 Years of NSWMA Athletics

The history of the NSW Masters Athletics Association began with the inaugural meeting of the “Wirinun Veterans Amateur Athletic Club” , on April 20, 1971, called by the Club’s first Secretary Logan Irwin.

Following with the drafting of a Club constitution at a special General Meeting held on October 20, our group was granted affiliation with the Amateur Athletics Association of NSW as a specialist club, on November 18 1971.

The 50 years since then has seen incredible change and development, highlights and successes.
